The Scraper-Type Self-Cleaning Filter is an advanced industrial filtration system designed to remove contaminants from liquids using a scraper mechanism driven by a motor or pneumatic cylinder.
It ensures continuous online filtration without the need for disposable filter media, reducing maintenance and operating costs.
The filter is highly suitable for general and high-viscosity liquid filtration.
The automatic cleaning function is controlled by an intelligent PLC or LOGO control system, which can initiate the cleaning and drainage process based on pressure differentials or time settings.
This innovative filtration system overcomes the common challenges of traditional filters, such as clogging, limited contaminant capacity, and the need for frequent manual cleaning.
With its automated, high-efficiency filtration, it is widely used for filtering solvents, acidic and alkaline liquids, polymers, coatings, and other viscous materials.
The filtration precision ranges from 25 to 3000 microns, and it can handle liquids with viscosities up to 800,000 cP.
This makes it a highly efficient replacement for conventional filter cartridges, bag filters, basket filters, and vibrating screen filters.
The liquid enters through the inlet, where a spring-loaded disc-shaped scraper remains in close contact with the inner surface of the filter element and stays at the top.
The liquid flows through the scraper and passes outward through the filter element, while contaminants are retained on the inner surface.
The filtered liquid then exits through the outlet. Over time, as more contaminants accumulate, the pressure differential increases, triggering the cleaning process based on preset pressure or time settings.
The pneumatic cylinder drives the scraper to move up and down in a reciprocating motion, cleaning the filter element.
As the scraper moves downward, contaminants are pushed to the bottom of the filter, and heavier particles settle into the collection chamber.
When the scraper moves upward, any remaining contaminants are scraped off and pushed toward the top of the filter element.
These contaminants are flushed away by the flowing liquid, passing through the scraper and returning to the inner surface of the filter element.
During the next downward motion of the scraper, the contaminants are removed. Each cleaning cycle consists of multiple strokes, ensuring that the filter surface is fully cleaned and its filtration capacity is restored.
Filtration continues uninterrupted during the cleaning process.
After multiple cleaning cycles, contaminants accumulate to a certain level.
At this point, the drain valve is opened periodically to discharge the waste liquid with a high concentration of impurities.
If necessary, the discharged liquid can also be collected for further processing or recovery.
